Mary O’Malley is a South Florida native who has always been fascinated with physicality and the mind/body connection. Her love of movement began at four years old when she began studying dance and gymnastics. While attending Boston University for her undergraduate degree, Mary began STOTT PILATES® mat and reformer teacher training. Soon thereafter she studied and certified in the Gyrotonic Expansion System and Gyrotonic specialized equipment (Jumping-Sliding Board, Leg Extension Unit and Ladder). Continuing her movement education, Mary recently took part in a 200 hour Anusara yoga immersion and teacher training.
Mary has been teaching for ten years in Boston, New York City and Los Angeles and has studied with master teachers including Kathy Van Patten, Marcus Schulkind, Noah Mazé, Sebastian Plettenberg and Juliu Horvath. Mary also received her Juris Doctorate in 2007 and is a licensed attorney practicing law on a non-profit basis.
In all areas of life Mary is passionate, positive and driven to help others. Her goal is not only to train but also educate her clients, assisting them to become more knowledgeable, empowered and confident in their own physicality.
